You may have some questions about what to expect for your first time experience at Calm & Cool. So we have done our best to answer some of our most frequently asked questions.
You are in safe hands. Calm & Cool is a non judgement, ego free space. We are all beginners at some point. Classes are suitable for all levels, whether you're taking your first class or you are a regular. Classes will have suitable progressions and regressions. Remember this is your own journey and personal experience. It doesn't matter what the person next to you is doing.
We are located 30-32 Chapel Street. Just off of Union Street in Aberdeen’s West End.
We do not have a carpark. Parking spaces are limited on Chapel Street so do allow yourself plenty of time to find parking nearby before class.
The minimum age is 16 accompanied by an adult. Unless Calm & Cool are holding a mini class dedicated to younger age groups.
Drop ins are welcome 30 mins before class starts but we advise you book online in advance, as class spots do fill up quickly.
Please check the daily class timetable on our website for when the studio is open.
Whatever makes you feel comfortable. Some people like to wear loose fitting clothing like joggers etc. while others like to wear tight, stretchy leggings and tops. If you are coming from work and are booked into a Sound, Meditation or Breath class then just come as you are.
We provide our own Calm & Cool mats, bolsters and props. We also have water and beverages to buy from our cooled fridge as well as our own Calm & Cool tea to enjoy after class.
If you are ill for any reason please make sure you get in touch and cancel class before the 12 hour period of late cancellations.
We have toilet facilities however no changing rooms. There are small storage drawers underneath the seating area where you can store your belongings. We advise you to take as little as possible to class.
